Ashford town centre is flourishing, with footfall in its retail district up by 18.9 per cent in 2019, at a time when many high street locations are struggling. According to Communities Secretary James Brokenshire, Ashford’s surge in shoppers stems from lower parking fees and “popular public events to encourage people back to the high street.”

“It’s exciting to see Ashford expanding and providing new opportunities for the residents,” agreed Adam Pressland at Blue Chyp, a construction design company that worked on Riverside Park.

Demand for property in Ashford has soared as the multiple benefits of the town have become better known. Within 37-minutes of London by train, residents are less than two hours away from Paris, minutes away from the M25 London orbital motorway and within an hour of Gatwick airport.

Property rentals are proving extremely popular at GRE Assets’ high-spec Riverside Park development. The well-located scheme has seen the majority of apartments released in the first phase already reserved; with eager tenants putting down reservation deposits to secure their place on Ashford’s premium development.
